This is an essential oil cold relief recipe that I like to use when I’m not feeling well but still have to go to work. It’s a comforting, breath-opening, and energizing body oil.
This blend is made in a 1 oz (30 ml) cobalt blue glass bottle. I’m using vanilla-infused jojoba as the carrier. Vanilla has such a warm, comforting aroma all by itself.
Vanilla-infused jojoba is exactly what it sounds like—jojoba infused with vanilla! You can find it ready-made or you can make your own (it’s easy). Here’s a blog post that tells you how:
The full cold relief recipe is:
1 oz (30 ml) vanilla-infused jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) (1:09)
12 drops Balsam Fir essential oil (Abies balsamea) (1:52)
3 drops Sweet Orange essential oil (Citrus sinensis) (2:26)
That’s it! Shake your body oil gently, then apply it every few hours to your chest, neck, arms, and wherever you like. You can use this cold relief recipe when you first feel yourself coming down with something, and to give you comfort and relief when you’re already sneezing and sniffling.
