I’m sharing the Ocimum tenuiflorum plant, also known as Ocimum sanctum, Holy basil, & in our local language as tulasi This plant is cultivated for religious and medicinal purposes, and for its essential oil. It is widely known as a medicinal plant and an herbal tea, and has an important role in Hinduism, in which devotees perform worship involving holy basil plants or leaves. Essential oil extracted from this plant leaves is mostly used for medicinal purposes and is widely used in skin preparations and for increasng life longevity, healing fever, colds, cough, infections, skin diseases etc.
I am showing a simple video, how to prepare a simple black tulsi tea drink for healing cough, fever & cold. Pluck some matured tulsi leaves & grind around 5-7 nos. of black pepper. Boil half a cup a water, put some tea leaves & now put the tulsi leaves & the grinded black peppers. Let it boil for 2 minutes & pour it in a cup & drink it warm for instant relief from cough, fever & cold. For healing skin diseases one can mix the juice/oil of tulsi leaves with turmeric juice & pure honey & apply the same on the skin.
